LIFE BELOW WATER

The conservation and sustainable use of the seas, oceans, and marine resources is the focus of Goal 14. The ocean, which makes up three-quarters of the planet’s surface, is home to 97% of its water and, by volume, 99% of its living space. It servesas our planet’s largest carbon sink and is vital to human life, supplying food, medicine, and storm protection for the coast.
