CSPC, FRS Philippines, LGU Gigmoto partner for Project APAW

Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC), FRS Philippines, and the Local Government Unit of Gigmoto, Catanduanes formalized a tripartite partnership for Project APAW: “Harnessing Micro-Weather Forecasting and Flood Detection with AI and Data Analytics for Gigmoto, Catanduanes” through a Memorandum of Agreement signing on September 14, 2026, at the CSPC Board Room.

The project, implemented through CSPC’s AI Research Center for Community Development (AIRCoDe), will apply artificial intelligence and data analytics to localized weather monitoring, forecasting, and flood detection to support disaster-risk reduction efforts in Gigmoto.

The partnership brings together CSPC’s research and technological expertise, FRS Philippines’ support for project implementation, and LGU Gigmoto’s local engagement in bringing the initiative to the community.
