CSPC ranked in World University Ranking for Innovation

Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges successfully earned global recognition in its first participation in the 2026 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI).

CSPC ranked 26th worldwide in Category C7: University-Based Entrepreneurial Projects for its entry, “The ALTITUDE Incubation Program.” ALTITUDE (Advancing Local Technology and Innovation through Transformative Upskilling, Development, and Entrepreneurship) is the official incubation program of the ASOG Technology Business Incubator. Funded by the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD), the program supports early-stage startups in the Bicol Region developing engineering- and AI-driven solutions for food value chain management. Through structured technical and business training, mentorship, market matching, and access to strategic networks, ALTITUDE enables startups to become registrable, investable, and market-ready.

CSPC also secured 38th globally in Category A5: Crisis Management for its entry, “Project APAW: Bringing Flood Early Warning to Bicol Municipalities.” Project APAW deploys solar-powered monitoring stations currently serving over 30,000 residents in flood-prone areas of Balatan, Camarines Sur. Utilizing solar energy and LoRa mesh communication, the system provides real-time monitoring through a web dashboard with color-coded alerts that assist disaster responders in making timely evacuation decisions. While the system has been officially turned over to the Local Government Unit of Balatan, CSPC continues to provide technical support, with AI-based predictive features currently under activation.

CSPC’s participation in WURI 2026 was facilitated by the Center for International Relations and Linkages, which conducted orientation and information sessions to support project identification and application.
