Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges received the Outstanding Lifelong Learning Systems Implementation Award 2025 from the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office V (CHED RO V) during the awarding ceremony held on May 6, 2026, at Hotel St. Ellis in Legazpi City, Albay.
The award was received by CSPC Lifelong Learning Unit Focal A/Prof. Filmor J. Murillo and Graduate School Dean Dr. Leni M. Malabanan. CSPC was conferred the 2nd Place distinction in the Mature Category in recognition of its exemplary commitment to advancing lifelong learning.
The award recognizes the institutionโs excellence in the design, implementation, and sustainability of innovative lifelong learning systems that promote inclusive, flexible, and responsive higher education. CHED RO V affirmed that CSPC has structured and operational LLL systems supported by consistent programs, functional partnerships, and established policies.
Higher education institutions in the Bicol Region were evaluated across six dimensions: Institutional Commitment and Governance; Program Relevance and Accessibility; Partnerships, Collaboration, and Community Engagement; Evidence of Learning Impact and Knowledge Generation; Sustainability and Innovation; and Plus Factor.
The Outstanding Lifelong Learning Systems Implementation Award is an initiative of CHED RO V under the leadership of Regional Director Dr. Demetrio P. Anduyan Jr., CESO III. The official announcement of the recognition was earlier issued on January 23, 2026, through Regional Memorandum No. 13, Series of 2026.
The recognition was awarded during the Pagurulay-Ulay 2026 Conference held on May 6, 2026, at Hotel St. Ellis. Representing CSPC in receiving the award were Prof. Filmor Murillo, Head of the Center for International Linkages, and Dr. Leni Malabanan, Dean of the Graduate School. The award highlights the institutionโs strong commitment to advancing lifelong learning initiatives and implementing impactful educational programs for diverse learners.
This achievement underscores CSPCโs continued dedication to academic excellence, innovation, and inclusive education in the Bicol Region.
