Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC) joined higher education institutions from the Philippines and abroad in co-organizing the 6th International Undergraduate Research Congress (IURC) held on April 28–30, 2026, at the Ifugao State University (IFSU) Lamut Campus, with simultaneous participation via Zoom.

Themed “Transformative Futures 2026: Interdisciplinary Pathways toward Inclusivity, Sustainable Communities, and Global Collaboration,” the congress brought together undergraduate researchers, faculty members, evaluators, and academic leaders for three days of research presentations and scholarly exchange.

CSPC joined Ifugao State University, Bulacan Agricultural State College, Mariano Marcos State University, Quirino State University, and Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College among the organizing institutions. Participants also came from Palawan State University, Philippine Normal University, Can Tho University in Vietnam, and Universitas Mahasaraswati Denpasar in Indonesia. A/Prof. Filmor J. Murillo, Head of the Center for International Relations and Linkages (CIRL), represented CSPC.

The congress featured a keynote address by Dr. Christine N. Ferrer, Director of the Commission on Higher Education’s International Affairs Service (CHED-IAS). Research presentations were organized into five strands: Natural Sciences; Mathematical, Information, and Computing Sciences; Arts, Communication, and Social Sciences; Business, Economics, and Accountancy; and Agriculture.

Studies presented during the congress covered areas such as environmental sustainability, artificial intelligence and digital systems, education, public health, business, agriculture, and social inclusion, highlighting the contribution of undergraduate research to contemporary challenges and the Sustainable Development Goals.

Through its role as co-organizer, CSPC expanded opportunities for academic exchange and research collaboration with partner institutions in the Philippines and abroad.
