Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC) SUC President III Dr. Amado A. Oliva, Jr. joined the Affirmation and Compliance with the 2026 General Appropriations Act (GAA) on Free Higher Education Deficiency held at the House of Representatives on September 24, 2026.

The activity reaffirmed the governmentโ€™s commitment to sustaining free higher education and addressing funding deficiencies under the 2026 GAA.

Present during the program were CHED Chairperson and UniFAST Board Chairperson Hon. Shirley C. Agrupis, Ph.D.; DBM Acting Secretary Hon. Kim Robert C. De Leon; House Committee on Appropriations Chairperson Hon. Mikaela Angela B. Suansing; Hon. Ferdinand Alexander A. Marcos, Majority Leader, House of Representatives and House Speaker Hon. Faustino โ€œBojieโ€ G. Dy III.

The event also included closing remarks from Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo, President of Batangas State University and PASUC President, and the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement by Hon. Agrupis and Dr. Joane V. Serrano, Chancellor of the University of the Philippines Open University.

Dr. Olivaโ€™s participation underscores CSPCโ€™s support for initiatives advancing accessible and affordable higher education for Filipino students.
