Nolasco, Lying In Supervisor and Program Head, represented the institution during the Orientation and Coordination Meeting for the Online Simultaneous Launch and Relaunch of Childcare Facilities spearheaded by Romblon State University on May 7, 2026, via Zoom.
The orientation gathered participating State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and partner institutions in preparation for the nationwide initiative promoting the establishment and strengthening of university-based childcare and family empowerment facilities.
The Launch and Relaunch of Childcare Facilities is anchored on the Family Empowerment Center model of Romblon State University, which aims to provide support for solo parents, student-parents, and learners with family responsibilities both in schools and communities. The initiative highlights an integrated approach through Childcare, Parent Care, and University Care to help reduce barriers in education, training, and livelihood opportunities.
Through this initiative, participating institutions are encouraged to develop inclusive and supportive environments that promote family welfare, accessible childcare services, and holistic community empowerment.
