University of the Philippines Bonifacio Global City โ President Jun Oliva attended the โKTTO-IMPACT Learning and Preparatory Program for Technology Transfer of HEIRIT Universitiesโ held on May 7, 2026, at the UP BGC-Henry Sy Sr. Hall in Bonifacio Global City.
The program forms part of the IMPACT NXT Program, a national capacity-building initiative aimed at strengthening the Knowledge and Technology Transfer Offices (KTTOs), Technology Business Incubators (TBIs), and innovation portfolios of DOST-supported universities across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
As one of the twenty-six (26) HEIRIT universities supported by the Department of Science and Technology โ Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development, the institution joined fellow participating universities in the three-day event featuring learning sessions, collaborative engagements, and preparatory activities focused on advancing technology transfer and innovation initiatives in higher education institutions.
President Oliva also participated in the Presidentโs Forum with the theme, โSustainable Technology Transfer Framework for Research Commercialization and Research Impact,โ highlighting the vital role of higher education institutions in translating research into innovative and impactful solutions for national development.
The said training was participated in by the following: Ms. Cherry Lyn M. Odsinada, Mr. Kevin B. Capoles, Ms. Bernadette Grace B. Delgac, and Mr. Mark Andrian D. Pontanal.
President Olivaโs participation reflects the institutionโs continued commitment to fostering research, innovation, and industry collaboration toward sustainable academic and technological development.
