Dr. Marlon S. Pontillas, Associate Professor IV and Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC), has successfully published his institutional research titled “Learning in a Borderless Classroom: A Phenomenological Study of Learning During Education Disruption” in the International Journal of Learning, Teaching, and Educational Research (Volume 24, No. 3)โa Scopus-indexed journal recognized for scholarly excellence in education and pedagogy.
The study, conducted during the Academic Year 2022โ2023, explores the digital learning experiences of CSPC students during the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly in a provincial, resource-constrained, and multilingual environment.
Employing a qualitative phenomenological approach, the research examined how students adapted to the sudden shift to remote learning, navigated the digital divide, and maintained meaningful educational experiences.
The study highlights the importance of culturally and linguistically inclusive strategies in digital education and calls for more equitable digital access and responsive pedagogy.
Dr. Pontillas’ research adds to the growing body of literature on digital education and offers valuable insights for educators and policymakers aiming to build resilient and inclusive learning environments.
