CGAD Director appointed to Regional GAD Resource Pool

The Bicol Regional Gender and Development Committee (RGADC) of the Regional Development Council (RDC) has formally appointed Assoc. Prof. Naneth Oida, Director of the CSPC Center for Gender and Development, to the inaugural batch of the Bicol Regional Gender and Development Resource Pool.

She formally gained membership status on 15 February 2024, following the signing of the Bicol GAD Resource Pool Partnership Agreement with the RGADC during a ceremony at the NEDA Regional Office 5 in Arimbay, Legazpi City.

Director Oida’s appointment underscores RGADC’s approach to addressing the rising need for technical support in gender and development within the region.

Preceding this, applicants underwent various selection phases, commencing with the application which was opened to all personnel of agencies and organizations from members and partners of the RDC.

They were assessed based on a proven track record as a GAD technical adviser or resource person; the availability to respond to requests for technical assistance on GAD; the availability to attend the leveling sessions and capacity development sessions for GAD resource pool members, and sectoral expertise.
