FUNCTIONS OF THE UNIT

  1. Serves the College by supporting and contributing to HR strategy and initiatives;
  2. Responsible for employee relations, workplace concerns, compliance efforts, and employment reporting;
  3. Responsible for implementing recruitment strategy, onboarding programs and initiatives, and project-based HR initiatives;
  4. Facilitates a consistent and equitable hiring process that welcomes a vibrant and talented workforce;
  5. Advises and assists management in formulating and advertising personnel policies and programs;
  6. Aids in interpreting management policies to employees and employee’s point of view to management;
  7. Assists line personnel in implementing personnel policies and programs;
  8. Provides campus support for general HR inquiries and employee concerns;
  9. Provides assistance to visitors, students, faculty, staff, and retirees; and
  10. Attends to college-community relations.
