Ensuring a clean and safe environment for the College community and its stakeholders is the mandate of our Unit. Our key responsibilities include arranging requests for the use of College vehicles in an organized manner and performing routine maintenance on all the buildings, grounds, facilities, and other equipment. Additionally, the utility staff of the Unit is tasked with keeping the buildings, offices, classrooms, halls, and comfort rooms, as well as the fixtures and furnishings, tidy and clean. They are stationed in various areas of the institution.

The Repairs and Maintenance Services is in a good position to properly maintain and look after the institutions facilities and other amenities in terms of facilities management. Additionally, our Unit manages the College Motor Pool that is intended to facilitate all transportation-related tasks, relative to the daily operations of the Institution.

The Security and Safety Services, are in charge of patrolling and keeping an eye on buildings and their offices, the campus and its environs, and other public and unsupervised areas to guarantee the safety and well-being of students, staff, and all properties of the College, are among the Units primary services. Giving instructions and obtaining appropriate identification to guests and visitors, as well as helping the police, emergency personnel, and staff deal with crises or unruly situations, and preventing unauthorized persons from entering the school premises. They are also responsible for regulating unlawful parking, tampering with vehicles, and loitering in the College parking lots according to established processes, policies, and guidelines, and assisting in traffic and crowd management daily, most particularly during special events.

MANAGEMENT AND STAFF

The Unit is headed by the Administrative Officer V, and assisted by the Administrative Officer IV (In-Charge, Preventive Maintenance Services), Administrative Officer III (In-Charge, College Electrical System and Security Services), and Administrative Officer I (In-Charge, College Air- conditioning & Water Systems and Motor Pool). The Administrative Officer’s main duty is to manage and supervise all the Units affairs, relative to its mandated operation.

The office support staff is headed by the Administrative Assistant II (In-Charge, ISO Documents, and Office Records Management), together with the Administrative Aide VI (Clerical Assistant for Security Services and Motor Pool/Dispatcher), Administrative Aide VI (Repairs and Maintenance Coordinator/Liaison Officer for College Vehicles), Administrative Aide III (Buildings and Grounds Maintenance Coordinator), Administrative Aide II (Clerical Assistant for Communication Documents and Janitorial Services), Administrative Aide II (Clerical Assistant for Preventive Maintenance Services).

The Unit has several Skilled Workers who perform all the duties related to Preventive and Corrective Maintenance works. Adding to the workforce are the College Drivers, who man the colleges Official Government Vehicles.

There are also contracts with two outsourced agencies for Security Services, and Janitorial Services, which are regularly supervised and evaluated for renewal.
