The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) plays a crucial and pivotal role within the organizationโ€™s administrative structure, dedicated to ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the institution. The CAO provides leadership role and strategic directions in supporting the institutionโ€™s mission by overseeing various administrative functions, promoting operational excellence, and fostering a supportive environment for students, faculty, staff and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities and Functions

  • Provides strategic oversight and supervision of administrative operations, including human resources, records handling and documents management, supply and property management, health services, and general campus services.
  • Plays a key role in the development and implementation of rules and policies, institutional mechanisms, systems and procedures that ensure compliance with local and national regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices.
  • Ensures that development plans and activities are implemented to sustain quality standards and requirements and the desired service outcomes are accomplished.
  • Participates in committee deliberations to guide recommendatory bodies and decision-makers on the institutionโ€™s mechanisms, policies and procedures.
  • With the assistance of the Office of the Supervising Administrative Officer (SAO), promotes a culture of accountability, transparency, and ethical conduct across all administrative and finance functions.
  • Collaborates with top management to support the institutionโ€™s strategic planning efforts by aligning administrative operations with institutional goals.
  • Fosters effective communication and engagement with internal and external stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, alumni, government and non-government agencies, and community partners. The office promotes collaboration and builds relationships that support the institutionโ€™s mission and enhance its reputation.
