ORGANIZATIONAL COMPONENT AND FUNCTIONS

The office of the Center for Rinconada Culture and the Arts primarily undertakes the preservation, development and promotion of the culture and the arts of the Rinconada area. Consistent with the institution organizational structure, the CRCA shall be under the Vice President for Research, Extension, Production and Entrepreneurial Development. Correspondingly, there is a CRCA Coordinator which is under the direct supervision of the CRCA Director. To encourage active participation from various academic units, the CRCA Coordinator shall work closely with the different College Deans.

The CRCA shall perform the following functions:

a. Conduct researches relevant to the preservation, development and promotion of the culture and arts of the Rinconada Area;

b. Disseminates research finding through community immersion to promote the preservation and development of the cultures and arts in the Rinconada;

c. Coordinates with the other government agencies for effective implementation of plans, strategies, program, projects and activities relevant to the mandate of the CRCA;

d. Conduct regular training programs on preservation, development, and promotion of the culture and arts of the Rinconada, in coordination with the appropriate cultural agencies;

e. Conduct annual recognition program for special achievements and important contributions and services in the area of cultural preservation and conservation.
