Center for Future Thinking and Strategic Foresight

The Center for Futures Thinking and Strategic Foresight (CFTSF) is envisioned to lead efforts in fostering a futures-oriented mindset through research, capacity building, and collaborative engagement. It aims to empower individuals and institutions by promoting interdisciplinary foresight studies, supporting scenario development, and facilitating evidence-based policy formulation. By bridging research and community action, the CFTSF ensures that foresight activities are not only theoretical but also contribute to real-world impact and sustainable development.

The office shall perform the following functions:

a) Promote the application of futures thinking and strategic foresight across sectors to anticipate and shape future developments.

b) Provide a platform for cutting-edge research on emerging trends, technological innovations, and societal changes.

c) Enhance the capacity of individuals and organizations to engage in futures thinking through training, workshops, and educational programs.

d) Create networks and partnerships with organizations, academic institutions, and government agencies to collaborate on foresight initiatives.

e) Ensure that research and foresight activities are implemented and integrated into communities, driving tangible impact.
