The Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC) and the Bicol Association of Language and Literature Teachers, Inc. (BALLT) formally strengthened their academic partnership through a Virtual Memorandum of Agreement Signing Ceremony held on September 22, 2026, in support of the BALLT Language and Literature International Conference 2026 (LLICON 2026).
The partnership underscores the shared commitment of CSPC and BALLT to advancing language and literature education, promoting scholarly collaboration, and creating wider opportunities for teachers, researchers, students, and other education stakeholders to engage in meaningful academic and professional exchanges.
CSPC SUC President III Amado A. Oliva, Jr., PhD delivered the welcome and institutional message, highlighting the importance of partnerships in expanding the institutionโs academic networks and supporting initiatives that contribute to the professional growth of educators.
Meanwhile, Jocelyn O. Jintalan, DBA, Vice President for Academic Affairs of CSPC, expressed the institutionโs support for the collaboration and its potential contribution to instruction, research, and academic engagement.
Representing BALLT, Jenifer R. Sevilla, PhD, President of the association, delivered the partnership message, together with Peรฑafrancia V. Olayon-Reyta, PhD, Convener of LLICON 2026. Their messages emphasized the value of bringing language and literature educators together through conferences, research exchanges, and collaborative academic activities.
The salient provisions of the Memorandum of Agreement were presented before the ceremonial virtual signing. The MOA was signed on behalf of CSPC by President Oliva and on behalf of BALLT by Dr. Sevilla, with Filmor J. Murillo, MDC and Marlon S. Pontillas, PhD, Dean of the CSPC College of Arts and Sciences, serving as witnesses.
In his closing message, Dr. Pontillas emphasized that the agreement signifies more than a formal institutional partnership, as it opens opportunities for sustained collaboration between CSPC and BALLT in advancing language and literature education in the Bicol Region and beyond.
The program was hosted by Dan Fereth B. Fajardo, PhD, who also facilitated the presentation of the salient provisions of the agreement.
Through the partnership, CSPC and BALLT reaffirm their shared vision of strengthening professional networks and creating meaningful spaces for research, innovation, and discourse in language and literature education.
