The Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC), through the Council of Deans for Information Technology Education (CODITE) Region V, officially opened the three-day General Assembly and Curriculum Enhancement Workshop on August 6 at the CSPC Auditorium. The event, which runs until August 8, Brings together IT Deans, Program Heads/Chairs and Faculty members to strengthen collaboration and advance the quality of IT education.
Serving as the keynote speaker during the opening program, Dr. Demetrio P. Anduyan, Regional Director of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office V, underscored the importance of continuously enhancing academic curricula to align with industry demands, emerging technologies, and national education standards. He encouraged higher education institutions to remain responsive to the evolving needs of the digital workforce through innovation and academic excellence.
Also gracing the event was Dr. Amado A. Oliva, Jr., SUC President III of CSPC, who delivered his message of support to the participants. He emphasized the significance of collaborative efforts among higher education institutions in developing relevant, future-ready curricula that will equip students with the competencies needed in the rapidly changing field of information technology.
Throughout the three-day workshop, participants will engage in curriculum enhancement sessions, collaborative discussions, and the exchange of best practices aimed at strengthening Information Technology education and ensuring that academic programs remain responsive to the rapidly evolving demands of the profession.
