The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) conducted a benchmarking activity with the Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges Research Ethics Board (CSPC-REB) at the College Board Room, strengthening institutional collaboration in upholding ethical standards in research.
The activity brought together key officials and members of both institutions to exchange best practices, policies, and frameworks in research ethics governance. Representing CSPC-REB were Mrs. Nancy S. Penetrante, Vice President for Administration and Finance (VPAF), and Eva C. Sasaluya, RGC, Chair of the Research Ethics Board, along with the Research Board Committee.
From CBSUA, the delegation included Dr. Dariel A. Palmiano, Vice President for Research and Innovation; Dr. Mae S.A. Lustre, Director of the Research Services Division; Ms. Rochell R. Petil, Administrative Staff; and Ms. Eloisa Joycee S. Igno, Financial Officer.
The benchmarking initiative aimed to enhance research ethics protocols, ensure compliance with national and international standards, and promote responsible conduct of research across both institutions. Discussions focused on ethical review processes, documentation systems, and strategies for continuous improvement in research oversight.
This collaborative effort underscores the commitment of both CBSUA and CSPC to advancing quality research grounded in integrity, accountability, and ethical responsibility.
