Two students from CSPC have been selected for the 2nd batch of GMA Public Affairs’ Storytellers’ Academy led by veteran journalist Jessica Soho. Armando III C. Lazaro from ABEnglish, and Mary Bless E. Belen from BS Development Communication (BSDevCom), were chosen from thousands of applicants seeking to sharpen their storytelling skills under one of Philippine broadcasting’s most respected names.
What makes this recognition especially meaningful is the proven strength in hosting and public speaking of the selected students. Both Armando III C. Lazaro and Mary Bless E. Belen have demonstrated exceptional confidence, clarity, and presence when speaking before audiences — whether in classroom projects, campus events, debates, or workshops. These skills are powerful foundations for the demands of the Academy, which calls for storytellers who not only write or produce content, but who can also deliver, engage, and communicate with both authority and empathy
They, along with other selected participants, are expected to receive an email confirming their registration. The academy’s next session will take place on September 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM in Cinema 11, Gateway 2.
