In a significant move toward strengthening academic offerings and expanding graduate programs, the Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC), led by SUC President III Dr. Amado A. Oliva, Jr., paid a courtesy visit to the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office V (CHED ROV) on July 21, 2025.

Joining Pres. Oliva were Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Jocelyn O. Jintalan, Graduate School Dean, Dr. Leni M. Malabanan, and College of Engineering and Architecture Dean, Engr. Martin D. Valeras.

The visit was highlighted by the formal submission of the compliance documents in response to the recommendations for the proposed PhD in Engineering Education, a pioneering program aimed at advancing engineering instruction and research in the region.

The team also engaged in a productive dialogue with the CHED Regional Director, Dr. Demetrio P. Anduyan, Jr., CESO III to follow up on the Certificates of Program Compliance (COPC) for CSPC’s existing and proposed academic programs.

This engagement underscores CSPC’s commitment to academic excellence, quality assurance, and its continuous pursuit of becoming, Polytechnic State University of Bicol.
