CCS REACHES THREE IN ONE: CONDUCTS FLAT, BASIC COMPUTER LITERARY AND SOCIAL MEDIA AWARENESS TRAININGS

As there is only much one can do in a day, the College of Computer Studies proves us wrong by spearheading a Flexible Learning Assistant Tools (FLAT) training coupled with a Basic Computer Literacy and Troubleshooting Repair Training cum Social Media Awareness Fake News and Fact Checking initiative for the Elementary School Teachers of Ogbon Elementary School in Nabua last January 29, 2024. The integration of flexible alternative learning, basic computer literacy and social media awareness given the fast-paced digital scene we have, warrants the importance of integrating these into educational programs thus the need for this initiative. This approach is rooted in recognizing the diverse ways teachers and school officials would access information, the role of computer literacy in continuing education and the lasting influence of social media in facilitating daily classroom instructions as well as facilitating their daily lives. This has fostered digital inclusion, built foundational computer skills, and promoted responsible social media management to the beneficiaries of this initiative.
