Human Rights Educators Gather to Strengthen Advocacy for Dignity, Freedom, and Justice

The Commission on Human Rights organized a forum on May 18-19, 2023, at North Point Residences, Quezon City, which brought together universities across the Philippines with a shared commitment to advancing human rights education. The forum focused on enhancing the delivery of human rights education through innovative concepts and methodologies presented by renowned experts. These strategies aim to benefit not only students but also the broader local communities.

One of the forum’s key highlights was the election of officers for the National Association of Centers for Human Rights Education. Mr. Pedro Turiano, a faculty member of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), was elected as the National Director for Luzon.

The event served as a vital platform for educators to collaborate and refine their approaches to promoting dignity, freedom, and justice through human rights education.
