CSPC-CSSRP’s TAIS-DUNONG 2023 Benchlearning Activity Explores Leading Research Centers in Luzon

The CSPC Center for Social Science Research and Policy recently organized the TAIS-DUNONG 2023 Benchlearning Activity, a week-long initiative aimed at advancing social science research and academic knowledge. Held last December 10-16, the event focused on exploring established research centers in NCR, Central Luzon, and Baguio City.

A group of 12 faculty members from various CSPC colleges (CAS, CTDE, and CHS) participated in the benchmarking activity, visiting renowned institutions such as UP Diliman, UST, Bataan Peninsula State University, Tarlac State University, UP Baguio, and Saint Louis University.

Led by Mr. Ejay F. Barcinilla, the focal person for the soon-to-be-established Center for Social Science Research and Policy, the activity is seen as crucial for the center’s future success, positioning CSPC as a hub for social science research and policy development. The delegation included 12 dedicated faculty members from various colleges within CSPC, all of whom are integral to the future success of the CSSRP. The participants were: Mr. Ejay F. Mr. Barcinilla highlighted the importance of the Benchlearning Activity in laying the groundwork for the CSSRP, stating, “The knowledge and experiences gained from this activity will be instrumental in shaping the CSSRP into a center of excellence. Our exposure to the best practices of established research institutions will guide us in building a foundation that is both robust and innovative.”

The Office of the Vice President also supported the undertaking of Research, Extension, Production, and Entrepreneurial Development and the Center for Research and Development.
