Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC) strengthened its engagement in the tourism and hospitality sector through a seminar focusing on the broader operations of the industry, with particular emphasis on wine and whiskey, as well as hospitality supply-chain management.
The seminar provided participants with insights into the different aspects of the tourism and hospitality industryโfrom understanding beverage products and their production and distribution processes to procurement, inventory management, logistics, quality control, sustainability, and legal compliance.
It also highlighted the practical application of these concepts in actual hotel and restaurant operations, providing participants with a deeper understanding of how industry processes contribute to efficient and sustainable hospitality services.
SUC President III Dr. Amado A. Oliva, Jr. attended the event and delivered a message, underscoring the importance of industry-oriented learning and exposure in preparing students for professional practice.
Also present were College of Tourism, Hospitality and Business Management Dean Dr. Maria Joy Iglesia and Member of the Board of Trustees Hon. Juvy Aben E. Abion.
Serving as the resource speaker was Mr. Sherwin Lao, a wine expert, who shared his knowledge and expertise on wine and beverage products and their role within the hospitality industry.
The seminar provided CSPC students and participants with valuable perspectives that bridge classroom learning with actual industry practices, reinforcing the Collegeโs commitment to developing competent and industry-ready tourism and hospitality professionals.
