The Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC) has officially launched the ASOG Technology Business Incubator (TBI), reinforcing its commitment to advancing innovation, research, and entrepreneurship within the academic and local startup ecosystem.
The launch was led by Dr. Amado A. Oliva Jr., SUC President III, together with Dr. Challiz D. Omorog, Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Collaboration, and Ms. Cherry Lyn M. Odsinada, Project Leader of ASOG TBI. The event gathered key stakeholders, partners, and aspiring innovators in celebration of this milestone program.
A keynote address titled โRole of TBIs and Universities in the Startup Ecosystemโ was delivered by Engr. Edward Paul H. Apigo, Senior Science Research Specialist and ReSEED Program Manager of Department of Science and Technology โ Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development. He emphasized the importance of technology business incubators in nurturing startups and accelerating innovation through strong academic-industry collaboration.
The ceremonial ribbon cutting and unveiling of the marker, led by Engr. Apigo and Ms. Odsinada, formally marked the opening of the ASOG TBI facility.
ASOG TBI serves as a dynamic platform for developing technology-driven enterprises, particularly in engineering and artificial intelligence. It aims to support startups and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) by providing mentorship, funding access, capacity-building programs, and innovation support services.
Funded by DOST-PCIEERD and co-monitored by Department of Science and Technology Region V, the incubator is envisioned to become a hub for innovation and collaboration, empowering a new generation of entrepreneurs and strengthening the regional startup landscape.
Through the launch of ASOG TBI, CSPC continues to position itself at the forefront of innovation and enterprise development, fostering a culture that transforms ideas into impactful solutions.
