CSPC welcomes International Lecturer on Research for Development and Sustainability

CSPC, through the Center for International Relations and Linkages (CIRL), warmly welcomed international lecturer Dr. Tapas Pal of Raiganj University, India, who delivered a lecture on Research for Development and Sustainability on February 20, 2026, at the BS Development Communication (DevCom) Laboratory.

The event was attended by BS DevCom students currently enrolled in their thesis course. During the lecture, Dr. Pal shared his extensive research experiences aligned with his advocacy for sustainable development. He highlighted his work on sustainability initiatives in the Amazon Forest of Brazil, as well as his studies on various community development projects in India, Pakistan, and other Asian countries. His presentation demonstrated how research can be leveraged as an academic endeavor to create meaningful social impact.

Also present during the engagement were CIRL Head, A/Prof. Filmor J. Murillo, and BS DevCom Program Chair, Ms. Rosanova B. Oliveros.

The lecture forms part of CSPC’s continuing initiatives to internationalize its academic programs, particularly the BS Development Communication program, by strengthening research and instructional collaboration with global partners.
