CTDE Faculty Members Join CODTE V 2026 General Assembly

The College of Technological and Developmental Education proudly shares its successful participation in the 2026 General Assembly of the Council of Deans for Teacher Education Region V (CODTE V) held on January 30, 2026 at the Concourse Hotel, Legazpi City.

With the theme “The Resilient Educator: Cultivating a Positive and Inclusive Learning Environment,” the assembly gathered academic leaders from across the Bicol Region to discuss curriculum reforms, competency enhancement, and innovative strategies for teacher education.

CTDE was represented by Dr. Patrick Gerard A. Paulino, Dean of CTDE and CODTE V Auditor; Dr. Michelle L. Junio, Program Chair of BTVTED-FSM; Prof. Elvera L. Belga, Program Chair of BTVTED-FP; and Mr. Bryan B. Amaranto, PAFTE Technical Member. Their active involvement in the workshops and discussions underscored CTDE’s commitment to advancing inclusive and future-ready education.

Key highlights of the assembly included the revision of the Teacher Education Curriculum for Academic Year 2026–2027, the integration of regional subjects such as Bikol 101 and inclusive competencies like sign language, updates on emerging trends in teacher education, and the launch of the 2026 Search for Outstanding Student Teachers in Region V.

CTDE’s participation in this regional initiative reflects its dedication to academic excellence, innovation, and inclusivity. By engaging in collaborative dialogue with fellow institutions, our faculty leaders continue to strengthen the College’s role in shaping resilient educators who will inspire future generations.
