𝗖𝗦𝗣𝗖, 𝗣𝗦𝗔-𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝗿 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗟𝗚𝗨 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀

A promising partnership is brewing between Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC) and the Philippine Statistics Authority – Camarines Sur (PSA-Camsur) to enhance the statistical capacity of local government units (LGUs) across the province through collaborative training and extension initiatives.

The proposed collaboration centers on the conduct of Training on Basic Statistics for Local Government Units, bringing together the technical expertise of PSA-Camsur and the academic resources of CSPC, particularly the College of Arts and Sciences.

The initiative aims to improve LGU personnel’s understanding of statistical concepts, data interpretation, and evidence-based decision-making in local governance.

During the initial discussions, both institutions highlighted the importance of capacitating LGUs to effectively utilize local data for planning, policy formulation, monitoring, and evaluation of development programs.

The training is envisioned to equip LGU participants with practical statistical skills applicable to governance, public service delivery, and development planning.

The partnership also underscores CSPC’s mandate as a state higher education institution to actively engage in community extension and knowledge transfer, while supporting PSA-Camsur’s role in promoting statistical literacy and data-driven governance at the local level.
