CSPC strengthens Internationalization through CHED’s WURI Academy Initiative

CSPC takes another stride toward global engagement through its active participation in the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) Academy, a regional initiative aimed at enhancing the international visibility of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). Organized by the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office V (CHEDRO V) with the theme “Bicol to the Universe: Ngunyan Na!”, the WURI Academy seeks to equip HEIs in the region with the capability to prepare strong, innovation-driven entries for the 2026 WURI Rankings.

In compliance with CHED Regional Memorandum No. 117, series of 2025, CSPC established its WURI Task Force composed of key academic leaders and focal persons across various units. The team is chaired by Dr. Amado A. Oliva Jr., SUC President III, with Dr. Luningning Q. Bregala, A/Prof. Filmor J. Murillo, and Ms. Charmane Recah De Lima–Millano serving as Co-Chairs.

To further enhance institutional capacity, CSPC joined the WURI Mentoring Session held on October 3, 2025, at the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) in Pili, Camarines Sur. The event gathered HEIs from the region for practical discussions and mentoring on aligning institutional initiatives with WURI’s innovation-focused ranking framework.

CSPC’s involvement in the WURI Academy underscores its continuing commitment to innovation, sustainability, and international collaboration. This milestone reinforces the institution’s vision of becoming a globally engaged polytechnic college, committed to transforming lives through excellence and global partnerships.
