CSPC, IBP CamSur conduct Legal Seminar on addressing Sexual Misconduct in Schools

Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, in partnership with the Integrated Bar of the Philippines – Camarines Sur Chapter, successfully held a seminar titled “Rights & Remedies: A Legal Primer on Addressing Sexual Misconduct in Academic Institutions” on September 5, 2025, at the CSPC Gymnasium.

The event was attended by students, teachers, and staff from Nabua National High School (NNHS) and various CSPC departments. It provided participants with essential knowledge on Republic Act 11313 (Safe Spaces Act), RA 7877 (Anti-Sexual Harassment Act), and RA 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act), empowering them to recognize misconduct, understand their rights, and access remedies through proper reporting mechanisms.

The program featured discussions from Mr. Renato A. Adriano III on the Anti-Bastos Law, Mr. Peter Turiano on sexual harassment, and Atty. Fredie Collada on RA 9262, with interactive forums that allowed participants to clarify concerns. The seminar concluded with the awarding of certificates and closing remarks from Sir Al Lexus Arevalo, who commended the active participation of the attendees.
