CSPC, through its Extension and Community Services Office and the College of Arts and Sciencesโ Bachelor in Human Services (BHumServ) Program, conducted an extension activity at the BJMP Iriga District Jail on September 4, 2025, in Iriga City, Camarines Sur.
The initiative highlighted CSPCโs commitment to bringing higher learning opportunities beyond the classroom and into underserved sectors of society. Faculty members and students of the BHumServ program engaged Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) in meaningful learning activities, focusing on personal development, rehabilitation, and empowerment.
In collaboration with jail officials, the program also distributed learning materials and hygiene kits to the PDLs. These efforts not only addressed immediate needs but also symbolized CSPCโs broader advocacy for education as a tool for rehabilitation and social reintegration.
The activity forms part of CSPCโs sustained extension agenda, reinforcing its role as a community partner that actively supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal on inclusive and equitable quality education.
