Three students from the College of Arts and Sciences of Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges showcased their expertise as facilitators and speakers during the “Speak Up, Stand Tall: Debate Seminar Workshop 2025” held on August 13, 2025, at the Perpetual Help National High School, Iriga City.
The event was organized by the school’s Humanities and Social Sciences Department to equip students with essential debating skills.
Representing the CSPC Blue Stallions Debate Team, Aiden Basagre, Alaissa Angela Nolasco, and Ernestine Joy Bataller served as key resource speakers.
Basagre discussed the dynamics, formats, structures, and roles of debate, while Nolasco tackled constructing arguments and case building. Bataller, on the other hand, shared techniques on persuasive power and engaging audiences.
Each session was followed by open forums, providing participants with the opportunity to interact and deepen their understanding of debate principles.
Their participation not only demonstrated the exceptional public speaking and critical thinking skills honed at CSPC but also strengthened the partnership between the institution and Perpetual Help National High School in fostering a culture of discourse, confidence, and intellectual engagement among students.
