A significant milestone in the field of transdisciplinary education and special needs education was marked through a Virtual Signing Ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on March 31, 2024, between the International Society of Transdisciplinary Researchers, Educators, and Leaders, Inc. (ISTREL) and Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC) – College of Technological and Developmental Education – Bachelor of Special Needs Education (BSNE). The event, held online via Google
Meet, commenced at 4:00 PM (PHT) and brought together esteemed academics, institutional leaders, and key stakeholders to formalize this partnership.
The ceremony began with opening remarks from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anthony Greg F. Alonzo, the President and Chairman of ISTREL, who highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts in advancing research and education, particularly in the field of special needs education.
This was followed by a brief overview of the organizations, where representatives provided insights into their respective institutions. Speaking on behalf of ISTREL was Assoc. Prof. Atty. Dr. Marlon B. Raquel, the organizationโs Corporate Secretary and Treasurer. Representing CSPC-CTDE-BSNE was Dr. Niรฑa SF Sibulo, Program Chairperson, who discussed the collegeโs vision and commitment to inclusive education.
Following the introductions, Assoc. Prof. Atty. Dr. Marlon B. Raquel, provided an introduction to the MOU, outlining the objectives and expected outcomes of this collaboration.
The highlight of the event was the virtual signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, which was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anthony Greg F. Alonzo, and Dr. Amado A. Oliva Jr., SUC President III of CSPC. The ceremony also included messages of support from both parties, emphasizing the impact of this partnership on future educational initiatives.
The event concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Patrick Gerard A. Paulino, Dean of the College of Technological and Developmental Education, who reiterated the importance of sustained cooperation between ISTREL and CSPC.
Serving as the Master of Ceremony was Prof. Florenz M. Real, ensuring the seamless flow of the program and engaging all attendees in this momentous occasion.
