CSPC Officials Attend ASEAN University Network QA Training

As part of its steadfast and continuing effort in institutionalizing a culture of academic excellence and internationalization, CSPC sent three of its officials to participate in the ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) Training Course for Accomplishing Programme Assessment on January 21-24 in Bangkok, Thailand.

ย Dr. Luningning Q. Bregala (Chief Administrative Officer), A/Prof. Filmor J. Murillo (Faculty and Head of Center for International Relations and Linkages) and Dr. Modesto P. Fucio (Faculty and Education Program and Quality Assurance Coordinator) were among the 36 participants from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines. They underwent and completed the rigorous four-day training organized by the ASEAN University Network.

The AUN-QA Training Course for Accomplishing Program Assessment, Version 4.0 (AUN-QA Tier 1 Training) aimed to identify the elements of a quality assurance ecosystem; to apply the 4As iterative framework to implement AUN-QA program assessment; to interpret the AUN-QA program assessment model, its criteria, and requirements; and to validate and close gaps in performing an AUN-QA program assessment. It was facilitated by Prof. Clarita D. Carillo of University of Santo Tomas-Manila, Philippines (AUN-QA Lead Coach and Assessor); Dr. Ornlatcha Sivarak of Mahidol University International College, Thailand (AUN-QA Coach and Lead Assessor); and Dr. Nguyen Huy Phuc of Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (AUN-QA Coach and Lead Assessor).

The ASEAN University Networkโ€”Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) has been gaining international recognition since its establishment in 1998 to provide a platform for facilitating regional higher education development by advocating a robust quality assurance system for higher education institutions in the ASEAN Region.
