CSPC equips Non-Teacher Education Faculty with Enhanced Pedagogical Skills

Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges conducted a webinar titled “Enhancement of Pedagogical Skills of Non-Teacher Education Faculty’ on January 14, 2025. The event aimed to elevate institutional practices and foster student engagement through innovative teaching techniques and learner-centered approaches.

The webinar featured Dr. Christian R. Repüya, Assistant Professor IV at the Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology (BISCAST), as the guest speaker. In his morning session, Dr. Repüya highlighted strategies for effective instruction, including the integration of multimedia, differentiated instruction, and real-world applications to sustain student interest and engagement.

During the afternoon session, Dr. Repüya focused on learner-centered approaches, emphasizing the importance of tailoring teaching strategies to diverse learners’ needs. He encouraged participants to incorporate higher-order thinking skills and critical reflection in their teaching methods.

The event began with inspiring messages from Dr. Amado A. Oliva jr., SUC President III, and Dr. Jocelyn O. Jintalan, Vice President for Academic Affairs, who commended the faculty for their dedication to professional growth. The webinar concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Patrick Gerard A. Paulino, CTDE Dean, who praised the faculty’s commitment to fostering student success.

A total of 233 faculty members attended the webinar, reflecting CSPC’s dedication to providing faculty members with the tools and knowledge necessary to adapt to the dynamic landscape of education, ensuring high-quality learning experiences for students.
