CSPC-CAS made a significant impact at the 2024 Language and Literature International Conference (LLICON), held in Virac, Catanduanes.
The conference, themed โValuing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity in a Future-Ready Landscape in Language and Literature,โ took place from October 2 to 5, 2024 organized by Bicol Association of Language and Literature Teachers (BALLT), and featured a diverse array of sessions focused on advancing language and literature education in the context of global inclusivity and diversity.
Dr. Marlon S. Pontillas and Mr. Dan Fereth B. Fajardo served as moderators in the parallel paper presentations, facilitating discussions that explored innovative research and practices in the field. Their contributions were instrumental in guiding the academic discourse throughout the sessions, ensuring a productive exchange of ideas among scholars and educators.
Also, Mr. Filmor Murillo delivered a plenary talk that was well-received by attendees. His presentation focused on the Articulation of Social Criticism in Literature. Dr. Maria Teresa V. Septimo also attended the conference and participated actively in the various discussions.
LLICON 2024 provided an excellent platform for CSPCโs faculty to engage with international peers, share their expertise, and further their understanding of the evolving landscape in education.
The participation of CSPC faculty members highlights their ongoing dedication to professional growth and their role in shaping the future of language and literature education.
