The-Legazpi Branch held a “๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐จ๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ฒ ๐๐ง๐๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ข๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐๐๐ฅ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐๐ฌ (๐๐๐๐๐ก)” at the BSP Multipurpose Hall in Legazpi City on September 10, 2024. By using the Forecasting and Policy Analysis System (FPAS) to replace its antiquated multi-equation econometric model with an advanced Quarterly Projection Model (PQM), this event showcased BSP’s attempts to upgrade its macroeconomic modeling. In order to provide a thorough framework for managing intricate economic shocks and policy trade-offs, the new PAMPh incorporates labor dynamics, monetary and fiscal policy considerations, and forward-looking projections.
Along with representatives from various governmental agencies, academic institutions, non-governmental organizations, civil society organizations, and partner stakeholders, ๐๐ซ. ๐๐ฃ๐๐ฒ ๐

In order to maintain PAMPh’s status as a crucial instrument for economic analysis and policymaking in the Philippines, further model updates will be made in accordance with developing empirical findings and theoretical insights.
