The Center for Gender and Development in collaboration with The Mayari Project & Local Government Unit of Balatan presents a project that aims to empower Sangguniang Kabataan, Sangguniang Barangay, and Barangay Council to champion gender equality in their communities through innovative project proposals and GAD talks. We proudly give you BABAE KA-sarinlan 2024: United for Women’s Rights and Independence.

This activity aims to equip youth leaders with the skills and support to develop projects that address gender disparities across various sectors. Through workshops and mentorship, participants design initiatives promoting equity, empowerment, and social inclusion. BABAE KA-sarinlan fosters collaboration and knowledge-sharing among councils, amplifying the impact of gender-inclusive development efforts.

This meaningful initiative was participated by the Local Government Unit of Balatan and Sangguniang Kabataan Officers of Balatan at the College Auditorium held last July 20, 2024.
