Entrepreneurial and Capacity Development Training for Indigenous People of Iriga City

As we kick off the activity today entitled โ€œEntrepreneurial and Capacity Development Training for Indigenous People of Iriga Cityโ€ with the BSBA-FM Student Extensionists and Faculty Members, in collaboration with the PTFA, CSPC Entrepreneurship Program, and BSHM held at the CSPC Graduate School Multipurpose Hall. Participants from Iriga City eagerly joined seeking to enhance their financial mindset under the guidance of Mr. Roque B. Cruz II.

The afternoon session began with a lively warm-up led by the JFINEX Officer, featuring the energetic Asoka dance exercise. Following that, Ms. Maria Leticia Barela, the CTHBM Extension Coordinator, introduced the resource speaker, Mr. Roque B. Cruz II. Subsequently, Mr. Cruz delved into financial literacy, discussing the essential needs and wants.

During the event, Mr. Roque engaged participants with an activity: โ€œWhat is considered a want and a need?โ€ Participants compiled lists of their needs and wants, presenting them to the front of the room, resulting in laughter echoing through the multipurpose hall.

As the afternoon progressed, Melanie Labis, JFINEX Student Extension Champion, and Necole Ashley Tuppil, Chief Finance Officer from JFINEX-CSPC CHAPTER, presented insights on pricing and costing. They explained how to determine product pricing and calculate potential profits or losses.

Following the discussion, Ms. Labis and Ms. Tuppil engaged participants in an activity focused on computing the costing and pricing of a specific product. Later, the facilitators provided a well-deserved break for participants to enjoy the provided snacks. The event concluded with a memorable photo opportunity.
