Basic Life Support for Aquatic Emergencies and Basic Swimming Skills to Grade 12 Students of Nabua National High School-Batch 1
Swimming can be fun, especially when spent with family and friends. But what if things turn bad unexpectedly? Will you be able to save yourself or others? Or do you know how to swim in the first place?
That’s why the CHS Extension Service, in partnership with Nabua National High School (NNHS), joined forces to conduct PROJECT LEISURE ON REST: Basic Life Support for Aquatic Emergencies and Basic Swimming Skills for the Grade 12 students of Nabua National High School (NNHS). The event, held at Macagang Resort, San Antonio, Poblacion, Nabua, Camarines Sur, featured Sir Michael Angelo C. Navarra, Rey C. Nadal, Mari Len A. Amoroso, and Sir Lito Felices as guest speakers.
The event highlights the importance of awareness and education regarding basic life support and swimming, as they believe that “The Youth is the Hope of Fatherland” and that they are still receptive and capable of learning and growing. The project also aims to promote life, prevent further complications, and alleviate financial burdens on families and the community as a whole.
The first batch of the event was conducted on April 2 & 3, 2024, followed by the second batch on April 11 & 12, and the third batch on April 18 & 19. The fourth batch will be on April 25 & 26. This month-long activity of the CHS Extension Service aims to enable the students of NNHS to be “Always Ready” in the field of emergency management and to enrich their skills in basic first aid and basic life support.
CHS believes that through proper education and the passion to impart basic life support skills to young individuals, we are continuously building a community where everyone can be a competent individual capable of saving lives.
