On the 24th day of January 2024, a pivotal meeting transpired between the University of Santo Thomas Legazpi (UST-Legazpi) and BCIEERD Inc., marking a significant step towards potential collaboration. With the aim of forging a closer relationship, UST-Legazpi expressed its keen interest in joining BCIEERD as a new member. The meeting served as a platform for fruitful discussions, wherein various presentations elucidated essential aspects of the collaboration.
Led by Dr. Plutomeo M. Nieves and Mr. Isagani B. Jacob from UST-Legazpi’s esteemed Office of Research, the presentations encompassed critical areas such as the Manual of Operation and R&D priority sectors. These presentations provided a comprehensive overview, laying the groundwork for future collaboration initiatives.
In attendance were key figures from both institutions, including Mr. Nino Jeffrey Luzon, the 5th Director of BCIEERD, who brought invaluable insights to the table. Complementing the director were members of the BCIEERD Secretariat, including Ms. Quenly Galarosa and Janden Albalate, whose expertise and contributions were instrumental in facilitating the meeting’s proceedings.
