
A viral Facebook post featuring a nursing student of Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges who provided intervention to a medical emergency has recently won the admiration of netizens.
According to Jenilyn P. Somido, the fourth-year BS Nursing student in the said post, the incident occurred at the Nabua Veterans Park where she happened to drop by for an afternoon snack. Her attention was caught by a woman seeking help. With her was a middle-aged man lying on the floor unconscious.
Somido immediately came to his aid and requested an ambulance as well.
“May malay na siya [nung] nailipat na sa stretcher but [temporarily confused] kung ano yung [nangyari] sa [kaniya],” she said.
The rescued man has already recovered and is now home, as per report.
Since Facebook page NAB Weekly posted photos of the incident on 13 November 2022, it has already gained 4,800 reactions and 1,300 shares in less than 24 hours.
“[Estudyante] pero sa tawag [ng] [kaniyang] [pinag-aaralang] propesyon, hindi [siya] nagdalawang isip na [gawin] ang nararapat at [tumulong] sa nangangailangan..”, a Facebook user remarked in NAB Weekly’s post.
