The Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC) received another recognition as the team IIEE-CSPC SC paved the way to championship in the recently concluded Regional Math Wizard 2022, proclaimed today, October 27, 2022 via Zoom.
Five CSPC students from the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) program will now represent Region V in the IIEE National Math Wizard 2022, led by team captain Jayrus B. Reyes and his teammates Kent G. Magistrado, Prince Q. Alanis, John Mark P. Patingo, and Angel Bianca E. Nacario.
The lineup from CSPC faced eight other teams from the Bicol region who participated in the event, securing the championship spot, followed by the Divine Word of Legazpi team, which took the first place, and the Bicol University for the second place.
The team’s triumph would have been assured through the exceptional support of the proud coaches, Engr. Roner P. Abanil and Mr. Nestor P. Bagacina, and adviser, Engr. Jose Eduardo B. Cerillo II. The Institution also acknowledged the underlying provision of the BSEE Program Chairperson, Engr. Virginia V. Pontillas, and the entire committee for being with them since day one.
The competition was held as part of the 17th Regional Student Conference with the theme “IIEE 2022 Leadershift: Rising Above Adversity through Passion and Commitment Leading on the Road to Recovery,’’ which was attended by various IIEE student chapters from across the region.
