CSPC collaborates with Sumy State University and Prince of Songkla University for an International forum

The Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC), Philippines, Sumy State University (SUMDU) Ukraine, and Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Thailand, successfully conducted the International Forum in Virtual Teaching and Learning with the theme “Harnessing Hyflex and Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) in Developing Global Citizens” on October 27, 2022, at 2:00 PM (PST), via Zoom.

The webinar opened with a Welcome Remarks by Dr. Kostyantyn I. Kyrychenko, Rector’s Assistant for International Relations and Head of the International Affairs Department, SUMDU followed by the Inspirational Message by Dr. Charlito P Cadag, President (CSPC).

The Lecture Proper featured three International Lecturers: Mr. Tom Hendrick Freimuth, International Relations Officer, Faculty of Science (PSU) who discussed “COIL’s Mission and Framework”; Dr. Bagus Jati Santoso, Assistant Professor of Department of Informatics and Deputy Director of Academic Development, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, Indonesia, who presented his lecture on “Tools and Teaching Strategies for Effective COIL Projects”; and Dr. Alla Krasulia, Associate Dean for International Relations, Faculty of Foreign Philology and Social Communications (SUMDU) who focused her discussion on “Challenges and Benefits of COIL: Success Stories”.

The international forum concluded with the Closing Remarks of Assoc. Filmor J. Murillo, International Relations Officer, CSPC.

Participants of the event came from 19 countries from Asia, Europe, Central America, Middle East, and Africa. The lecture proper was moderated by Dir. Murillo and the event was hosted by Ms. Odessa Rica M. Velasquez, Staff of the International Relations Office.
