After months of preparation and the College’s subsequent bold and decisive performance during the Philippine Quality Award (PQA) On-Site Visit in September 2021, the Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges hit its first milestone of 2022 with the success of its campaign on the prestigious and sought-after 24th PQA Assessment Cycle.
The College announced its receipt of the Recognition for Commitment to Quality Management on its official Facebook page on January 24, 2022 following the latter’s approval by the Office of the President of the Philippines on January 13, 2022. March 23, 2022 is a landmark in the Colleges’ history with the recognition conferment ceremonies of the PQA from Malacañang Palace.
The much-awaited virtual conferment ceremony was attended by senior leaders, officials, and key personnel watching via Facebook live from the CSPC Auditorium. Preparations for the big event included catering for all employees, including student assistants, which contributed to the festive atmosphere thus making it one of the highlights of the school year.
CSPC President Dr. Charlito P. Cadag in his celebratory speech described the PQA as a “grueling and nerve-wracking journey for the CSPC’’ as he stressed the College’s “long-term pursuit for ‘excellence and transformation”. Dr. Cadag acknowledged the men and women of what he calls the ‘CSPC-PSUB power team’ as the “secret behind the victorious feat”. The CSPC President finished his speech with the pledge of “commitment and an endless quest for dynamism and quality service in CSPC, where excellence and transformation is a way of life.”
In its 24th Assessment Cycle, the Philippine Quality Award was conferred to 13 other institutions in the Philippines, 6 of which are also academic institutions. The PQA is a national award program that encourages public and private organizations and other stakeholders to be globally competitive. It recognizes achievements of public and private sector organizations in their journey towards performance excellence. It is organized by the Development Academy of the Philippines, Inc. and sanctioned by the Department of Trade and Industry Competitiveness Bureau with the approval of the Office of the President of the Philippines.
