𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐨, 𝐁𝐢𝐤𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐨 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡, 𝐎𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧!
On April 17, 2024, the Bicol Consortium for Industry Energy Emerging Technology Research and Development (BCIEERD) Inc., represented by its Chairperson Dr. Amado A. Oliva Jr., and the BCIEERD Secretariat Quenly M. Galarosa, along with Janden Albalate, representative of Ms. Cherry Lyn M. Odsinada the BCIEERD Director, and other representatives from Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, Dr. Leni Malabanan, Prof. Naneth O. Oida, Mr. Kevin Capoles and Mr. Rafael Abaño, actively participated in an essential health-focused event in Saludo, Bikolano Health Research, Organon! Hosted by DOST Bicol in collaboration with the Bicol Consortium for Health Research and Development (BCHRD), the event took place at The Pepperland Hotel in Legazpi City, Albay. The Regional Health Research Priorities for 2023-2028 were officially launched during this gathering.
Notably, BCIEERD proudly lent its support to this initiative and affirmed its commitment to future collaborations and partnerships. Additionally, BCIEERD is a staunch supporter of the SALUDo; Bikolano Health Research, Oragon! movement.
The event witnessed the enthusiastic endorsement of BCHRD’s programs and activities by member institutions. It was also a moment to welcome new pledges of commitment from esteemed institutions such as the University of Santo Tomas-Legazpi and the Divine Word Colleges of Legazpi. Furthermore, the event celebrated the winners of the 2024 3-Minute Pitch to Policy Makers competition and provided insights into the consortium’s upcoming activities and announcements.
What is SALUDo? “Saludo,” the Bicolano word for health, finds new meaning at SALUDo. By adding the letter “o,” it transforms into “Saludoo,” a powerful symbol of complete acknowledgment for the tireless efforts of local researchers dedicated to improving regional healthcare outcomes.
