CHS conducts the first-ever Grand Clinical Orientation for AY 2022-2023

With the goal of becoming more knowledgeable of the working environment, the College of Health and Sciences (CHS) held a face-to-face grand clinical orientation and invited different affiliated hospitals for the upcoming Related Learning Experience (RLE) of both BS Nursing and BS Midwifery in Levels II, III, and IV on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at the Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC) Gymnasium.

During the seminar, the faculty, professors, clinical instructors, nursing and midwifery students, and the college dean were present.

Dr. Leni M. Malabanan, the college dean, formally opened and welcomed all the CSPC student nurses and midwives, as well as the clinical instructors and invited speakers.

The guest speakers of the said event were Mr. Raymark G. Barredo, MAN, a clinical instructor, head of the HRMO; Ms. Agnes D. Sabio, RM, RN, a nurse supervisor of Santa Maria Josefa Hospital Foundation Incorporation; Ms. Julie S. Cervas, MAN, hospital administrator of Medical Mission Group Hospital; Ms. Zaide V. Corporal, MHA, chief nurse of Villanueva-Tanchuling Hospital; Ms. Luzviminda V. De Villa, EdD, Chief Nurse of Our Lady Mediatrix Hospital; and lastly, Ms. Sharmaine Dimaiwat, RM RN, of Lourdes Hospital.

The speakers were given the chance to speak about the brief history of the hospital. They were given an opportunity to orient the students regarding their policies, rules, and guidelines; core values; goals; mission; vision; and the codes of the hospital. They also introduced the different facilities, administrators and their staff.

A surprise entertainment number was showcased by the clinical instructors under the above-mentioned department.

The Clinical Coordinator of the CHS, Mrs. Lea Anne Agnas-Mediado, MAN, delivered her closing remarks.

Mr. Kenny Niño Tagum, Ph.D., one of the CHS clinical instructors, hosted the said event.
