The Graduate School of Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges spearheaded the International Webinar in Research Writing and Publication on April 6-7, 2021. The activity aimed at equipping the participants with the necessary knowledge, skills, and strategies in writing and publishing research articles. The webinar featured Dr. Safari Wa-Mbaleka, a highly-accomplished academician, researcher, writer and a Professor at University of Phoenix Online, Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies and Adventist University of Africa. Dr. Wa-Mbaleka facilitated three sessions: Overview of Writing for Publication; Writing a Publishable Abstract; Scholarly Writing Strategies; Preparing the Manuscript for Publication; and Final Presentations.
The two-day virtual event provided the much-needed input and insights that were expected to help the participants achieve the level of confidence to make them effective and efficient researchers. Most importantly, the webinar also provided a substantive impetus that will help transform the research culture in the Institution that will be instrumental in propelling it to be on par with other higher educational institutions inside and outside of our country.
The webinar was conducted in partnership with the Center for International Linkages and Affairs (CILA) with the technical support of the Management of Information and Communications Technology (MICT) Office.
