NEWS AND UPDATES: 

The College of Engineering is one of the five departments of the Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges currently under the supervision of Engr. Radmar B. Tañamor as the department dean. Courses offered in this department were Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering. All of these five-year courses are ladderized.

GOAL

Provide quality instruction and training in engineering through the ladderized curricula in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Electronics Engineering which are responsive and relevant to the needs and development of the service area in particular and the country in general as well as develop total quality engineers and technology researchers for industry and society to maximally contribute to sustainable national development.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN CIVIL ENGINEERING

Program Educational Objectives

  1. Graduates are engaged in the practice of Civil Engineering in the various technical specializations including structural, construction, geotechnical, transportation, and water resources.
  2. Graduates occupy responsible positions such as supervisory or managerial in engineering firms.
  3. Graduates continue to develop their technical and professional skills through formal and/or non-formal studies.

Program Outcomes
By the time of graduation, the students of BSCE program shall have the ability to:

  1. Apply knowledge of mathematics and science to solve complex civil engineering problems.
  2. Design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data.
  3. Design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints, in accordance with standard.
  4. Function in multidisciplinary and multi-cultural teams.
  5. Identify, formulate, and solve complex civil engineering problems;
  6. Understand professional and ethical responsibility.
  7. Communicate effectively civil engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large.
  8. Understand the impact of civil engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal context.
  9. Recognize the need for, and engage in life-long learning.
  10. Know contemporary issues.
  11. Use techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for civil engineering practice.
  12. Know and understand engineering and management principles as member and leader of a team in a multidisciplinary environment.
  13. Understand at least one specialized field of civil engineering practice.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

Program Educational Objectives

  1. Graduates are engaged in the practice of Mechanical Engineering in the various fields such as planning, design, operation, installation, maintenance, management and supervision of mechanical plants and processes.
  2. Graduates occupy responsible positions such as supervisory or managerial in engineering firms.
  3. Graduates continue to develop their technical and professional skills through formal and/or non-formal studies.

Program Outcomes
By the time of graduation, the students of the program shall have the ability to:

  1. Apply knowledge of mathematics and science to solve complex mechanical engineering problems.
  2. Design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data.
  3. Design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints, In accordance with standards.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING

Program Educational Objectives

  1. Graduates are engaged in the practice of Electronics Engineering in the various fields cited in Article 1, Section 5 of RA 9292 that includes communication engineering and/ or telecommunications, radio and television broadcast/broadcasting, consumer and industrial electronics, instrumentation, automation and robotics.
  2. Graduates occupy responsible positions such as supervisory or managerial in engineering firms.
  3. Graduates continue to develop their technical and professional skills through formal and/or non-formal studies.

Program Outcomes
The Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering (BSECE) program must produce graduates who shall be able to:

  1. Apply knowledge of mathematics and science to solve electronics engineering problems.
  2. Design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data.
  3. Design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints, In accordance with standards
  4. Function in multidisciplinary and multi-cultural teams.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

Program Educational Objectives

  1. Graduates are engaged in the practice of Electrical Engineering in the various fields such as planning, consultation, design, valuation, installation, operation, management and maintenance relating to the generation, transmission, distribution, utilization of electrical power.
  2. Graduates occupy responsible positions such as supervisory or managerial in engineering firms.
  3. Graduates continue to develop their technical and professional skills through formal and/or non-formal studies.

Program Outcomes
By the time of graduation, the students of the program shall have developed the ability to:

  1. Apply knowledge of mathematics and sciences to solve complex engineering problems.
  2. Develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data.
  3. Design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability, in accordance with standards.
