GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

Produce globally skilled, ethically upright and socially responsible computing professionals adaptable to technological and social changes, responsive to sustainable development of the region and beyond.

Specific Objectives:

  1. Provide quality education in computing concepts and theories, hardware and software technologies responsive to industry demand.
  2. Integrate professional, ethical and legal practices in the utilization of computer technology.
  3. Cultivate the desire to continually engage in relevant research and development as a computing professional.
  4. Generate responsive computing solutions that bring transformative impact to society.

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

BLIS Program Educational Objectives:

BLIS Graduates are expected to demonstrate the following set of educational objectives after two (2) years:

  1. Use technical expertise in recognizing, evaluating and utilizing knowledge of information representation and resources to resolve and manage specific needs in any environment, utilizing the current technology tools appropriate to the library field.
  2. Demonstrate effective communication skills with team members and the public.
  3. Exhibit exemplary behavior, conscious of social responsibility through active professional engagement; and
  4. Engage in continual professional development through lifelong learning in the broadest context of technological research.

BSIT Program Educational Objectives:

BSIT Graduates are expected to demonstrate the following set of educational objectives after two (2) years:

  1. Apply and demonstrate computing skills in developing, implementing and maintaining computer-based systems evident in their profession;
  2. Demonstrate effective communication skills with team members and the public;
  3. Exhibit exemplary behavior, conscious of social responsibility through active professional engagement; and
  4. Engage in continual professional development through lifelong learning in the broadest context of technological research.

BSCS Program Educational Objectives:

BSCS Graduates are expected to demonstrate the following set of educational objectives after two (2) years:

  1. Apply quality and righteous knowledge of mathematics, computer science theories and scientific method with proficiency in identifying, formulating and analyzing solutions to computing problems;
  2. Design, write, modify, and implement software from defined problems and requirements to reach substantiated solutions;
  3. Demonstrate effective communication skills with team members and the public;
  4. Exhibit exemplary behavior, conscious of social responsibility through active professional engagement; and
  5. Engage in continual professional development through lifelong learning in the broadest context of technological research.

BSIS Program Educational Objectives:

Graduates of the B.S in Information Systems program are expected to demonstrate the following set of educational objectives after a few years of graduation:

  1. Apply strong analytical and critical thinking skills, social sciences skills, and information system concepts to strategically design, implement, deliver and manage IT-based solutions in solving business-centered problems;
  2. Demonstrate effective communication skills with team members and the public;
  3. Exhibit exemplary behavior, conscious of social responsibility through active professional engagement; and
  4. Engage in continual professional development through lifelong learning in the broadest context of technological research.
